Happy Almost Fall!!!
This is my favorite time of year! I’m already planning trips to our favorite apple orchard and, of course, decorating the house to celebrate both autumn and Halloween.
But, before I get busy with those things, I thought I should let you know about some EVENTS I’m participating in that are coming up:
Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10 am to 3 pm – Romantic Galena Reads, DeSoto House Hotel, Galena IL
This is a gathering of book lovers, authors, and readers taking place in lovely Galena, IL, at the DeSoto House Hotel. There is no admission. I’ll be there, chatting with readers and signing books!
Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 9 am to noon – Lena Farmer’s Market, downtown Lena, Illinois in the Municipal Lot on W Main Street, across from Citizens State Bank.
The September 13th market is featuring local authors. I’m so excited to be asked to be a part of it!
Friday, October 17, 2025, from 7 pm to 10 pm – True Tales of Things That Go Bump in the Night, Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum & Gardens, 411 Kent Street, Rockford, IL
This is my favorite Halloweenee activity. Kathi Kresol from Haunted Rockford and I share ghost stories for about an hour or so, then you get to tour the haunted Tinker Swiss Cottage Museum – so cool!!! If you haven’t toured the Tinker Swiss Cottage, this is the perfect event to do so!
Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 6 pm to 9 pm – Spirits of Yesteryear, Stephenson County Historical Society Museum, 1440 S Carroll Ave, Freeport IL
Explore the grounds of the Stephenson County Historical Society as history comes to life through ghostly tales and immersive storytelling. From Victorian spirits to Civil War-era figures, this event blends historical education with spine-tingling fun. And, yours truly will be telling ghost stories in the one-room schoolhouse. So fun!
