This has been a technologically challenging week for me! My phone died, so I had to rely on my iPad for communication and that just died, too. I haven’t said bad words out loud, but I can assure you I thought them. At times, it felt like my technology was possessed or, at least, haunted. But, that can’t happen, right?
In a website called Above Top Secret someone posted: I know this sounds ridiculous, but recently I have woken up a number of nights in a row in the early hours of the morning, to hear my computer has turned itself on, and is making a loud sound.
I sleep with my door locked, so there is nobody turning it on.
I have taken the computer to an PC expert to check if there are power problems which can cause PC turning on or off. He did a diagnosis for malware or something like that, and it was okay. Still charged me 425 for the diagnosis though, ridiculous!
Anyway, earlier on I came into my room, I was the only one in the house. I heard the name Cindy (my real life name), whispered softly. There was nobody in the room or the house.
The house isn’t haunted. I know it isn’t as I have lived here for many years and there has never anything to show it being haunted.
I do not know what to do. Are there any people on here with advice?
As I was writing this, I recalled a similar incident happened to my son, Dave. His computer turned on by itself and would talk to him. So, hmmmmm, maybe Cindy is on to something.
In 2015, an Apple laptop was put up for auction on Ebay. The fellow who owned the computer stated that his laptop was “very haunted.” Unfortunately, the current owner was using his computer late one night while sitting in a graveyard, sketching a haunted mental hospital under a full moon. Really, the guy was pretty much asking for it.
THEN, he forgot to take the laptop home with him and left it out in the graveyard all night. (Cue Monster Mash music!) When he returned to retrieve it, it was not only open and running, but was also playing his favorite Beethoven music.
(Okay, just for kicks and giggles, I’m attaching a youtube video link where a host is playing Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata. And doing a darn good job, I might add!)
So, he brought his computer home and soon after than weird things began to happen. First, all of his songs on iTunes had become “scary or haunted” and his desktop background changed to a scary photo.
Then, the ghost that now lived in his computer, started leaving him notes. Not, typed notes or tests, but handwritten notes. (Obviously, a slightly technologically backwards ghost!)
The laptop and its paranormal history sold for well over $6,000. Six times the value of the laptop when it was new.
Now that’s scary!
Happy Friday!!!

Poor you 🙁
I’m so sorry! Those are expensive things to have to replace at Christmas. I hope the electronic issues are over. I have been having some issues here. I know who it is. Walter doesn’t hang out here, but he visits. One thing he has done recently is to leave a stuffed rat ( never saw it before, ever ) in a box I was sorting in the attic. IT scared me half to death when I reached into the same box I had been sorting and had emptied, the day before . I felt fur, then I saw the eyes. Freaky. I know it was my stepdad, because he did things like this in life. Today, it was opening the kitchen door. Repeatedly. sigh. Last year, he put my cat in a mall storage box and clipped the lid on, when I Was cleaning the kitchen. har har walter. I told him off for that one, it was dangerous for my kitty sigh.
Thank you for your sympathy, kath. I really appreciate it!!! Walter sounds like a handful! I think the hairy rat would have been it for me. You are a very patient lady! 🙂
