Come On In

Freaky Friday

I’m always on the haunt (tee-hee, excuse the pun) for new ghost stories. Recently, I joined a Facebook group where people share their true paranormal experiences. It’s been fun to read some of the experiences and some even send a shiver down my spine. Such is the case with this story. Tosh Metzger was kind enough to allow me to share it with you. Tosh owns a floral shop in Provo, Utah and has shared quite a few experiences on the page. I’ll link to his shop on the bottom of the page, in case you are in the Provo area and want a scary story with your bouquet.  Here’s Tosh’s story:

Many of you know I own a flower shop here in Utah. A few years ago, I had gone into the shop early to deliver a couple of funeral arrangements for a service that was being held that morning at a local church.

Upon arriving, I noticed the church was still locked. I was sitting in my car, alone, waiting for someone to unlock the doors to let me in.
After 10 minutes, I glanced up and noticed a lady in a beautiful floral print dress open the church doors and look at me, signaling I could come in. I quickly gathered the arrangements and headed inside. She held the door open for me, which was very kind since my arms were full.
I dropped off the flowers, thanked her, then headed back to the flower shop. Upon arriving at the shop, I noticed one more funeral spray had come through the system while I was gone. I quickly made it, then headed back to the same church to deliver it.

I arrived at the church and noticed the funeral home and the local clergy had arrived at the same time I did. The clergy unlocked the door and I entered. We went to the room where the viewing was to be held and they began setting up for the service. I told them I was there earlier and dropped off two more arrangements. The clergy and the funeral directors looked at me, bewildered, and asked, “Who let you in? The doors were locked?”

At that moment, the funeral director lifted the lid to the casket. I glanced over – and, with a nervous pause in my voice said – pointing toward the body inside, “Apparently, SHE did.”

The woman that let me in was the deceased, laying peacefully in the casket, and she was wearing the EXACT same floral print dress.

Happy Friday!!!

Good grief! I would’ve dropped dead if that happened to me. LOL

She was obviously a very kind and helpful woman in life, why not in death. I love this story. Not so much the picture of the old building. Looks like it wants to eat me!!!!!!
